Who's Number One?

Why do we look out for ourselves before other people? Do we really feel that much self-worth that we deserve something and somebody else doesn't? What makes one person better than another? Is it the clothes they wear, the people they hang out with, the car they drive, or how rich their parents are? Does any of those things define a person? No, but why are those the things most of us tend to look at first when we are meeting someone? Do you meet someone and notice their stylish and expensive clothes or do you notice how outgoing their personality is?
I just don't think it should happen like that anymore. Instead of looking out for yourself and making sure you're fantastic (great + great), just give one of your greats to other people. See how it works out.

Good point. about the question, "Do you meet someone and notice their stylish and expensive clothes or do you notice how outgoing their personality is?".... maybe... its the person's PERSONALITY that effects how they notice which one first. For instance someone might be very visual, and notices the style and expense of the clothes first but could have a kind heart and be wise enuf to judge beyond that and see the personality.... other people might only be at the surface, and see just the way they look and nothing beyond. which is really sad. I think most of the time its the way people are brought up and the influence of others around them.. (like their friends) that shapes how they turn out to be, and how they judge others. sometimes its a good thing.... and sometimes not.

Very true, I failed to think of the little girl out there in all of us that notices the style of the person, does a double take, and just shakes their head saying, "Now that is a cute outfit." And now I have a new blog idea! I have two! I'm excited!
